Case: Rash
You are asked to review a 58-year-old male with a history of osteoarthritis presenting with an extensive rash and conjunctivitis following a flu-like illness the previous week.
Vital signs are as follows:
HR 125, BP 115 / 80, RR 24, Temp 38Β°C
You estimate a total body surface area involvement of 30% and make a presumptive diagnosis of SJS / TEN. The patient asks what could have caused this and what his prognosis is.
