Case: Fever and groin pain

You are asked to review an unwell 64-year-old male in your emergency department. A quick review of previous records reveals a history of hypertension, obesity, alcohol dependence, type 2 diabetes, and diverticulitis. He lives in a low-level care nursing home. The patient had an abdominal CT. His observations are:
