Case: Lateral medullary (Wallenberg) syndrome
A 69-year-old man has been sent into the Emergency Department by his GP after an outpatient CT scan which shows an ischaemic stroke due to a right-sided posterior inferior cerebellar artery occlusion leading to a lateral medullary syndrome.
