Case: Elbow injury

You are the ED consultant in a regional centre when a 30-year-old male presents with an isolated left elbow injury following a fall from a skateboard. He has maintained perfusion of the hand but complains of sensory loss involving the hand. A nurse has placed an IV cannula in the right arm and the patient has been kept NBM.

An X-ray is performed.
